This past Sunday we continued our look at Ephesians 5:21-33 where Paul talks about Spirit-filled marriages and Christ.
Read Ephesians 5:21-33
1. What is the “bigger story” that marriage points us toward? How does it do that for married couples, single adults, and young people alike?
2. As we see the different things Paul says to husbands and wives, what does verse 21 show that they have in common? How does that commonality play out in differing roles?
3. Did digging into this passage cause you to see marriage differently at all?
4. Bryan identified the difference between God’s commands and our own (permissible!) preferences. Why is it important to know the difference and how does that enable us to mutually work out details?
