HERE'S WHAT A TYPICAL SUNDAY LOOKS LIKE AT SEVEN MILE ROAD - KENNEBUNK.
Coming together as the family of God is of utmost importance. Having engaged cultural liturgies throughout the week that draw us away from the rest that God offers in Jesus, we gather together and are reformed and reshaped by a liturgy that reminds us and calls back into the rest of God, and equips us to be sent back out as God’s people on mission to the Kennebunks. Everything we do during our worship gathering is done with gospel intentionality. We’re reminded and refreshed as we remember God’s story. One filled with redemption and hope.
Our Sunday gathering is simple and meaningful. We hear the Scriptures read. We sing in response to who God is and what He’s done. We confess our sins and are reminded of the rescue found in Jesus. We pray to a God who hears and cares. We listen to the preached Word inform and instruct our hearts. We respond by coming to the Lord’s Table (often called the Eucharist or Communion) to remember and celebrate Jesus’ sacrifice for us. And we receive the word of blessing as we are sent back into our towns and neighborhoods as the people of God on mission with God in the everyday stuff of life. Our service typically runs from 10-11:15a.
We have a casual atmosphere. Dress however you feel comfortable.
During the preaching part of our liturgy, our kids head back to age appropriate classrooms where they sing, learn, laugh and get creative with crafts and activities. At the end of our worship gathering, you can pick your kids up at their classrooms.
No! We have members, regular attendees, visitors, locals, and tourists! All are welcome!
